Frontend Engineering

React development for interfaces that hold up under real usage.

I build the kind of React interfaces that get harder over time — dashboards, editors, data-dense views and real-time UI — where state management and component architecture decide whether the product stays maintainable.

What I build

  • Complex, data-dense dashboards and internal tools
  • Reusable component libraries and design systems
  • State management architecture for large, multi-view applications
  • Real-time interfaces backed by WebSockets or polling
  • Performance passes on existing React codebases that have slowed down

Who it's for

  • Product teams that need a frontend engineer, not just a page-builder
  • Applications with complex state, not just content to display
  • Existing React codebases that need architecture cleanup before they can keep growing

How I approach it

Component architecture

Components are structured around data and responsibility boundaries, not just visual layout, so the codebase stays changeable.

State management that fits the app

The simplest state approach that actually fits the problem — local state, context or a dedicated library — chosen deliberately, not by default.

Performance at scale

Rendering behavior is profiled and addressed as the app grows, rather than assumed to be fine.

Accessible by default

Semantic markup, keyboard navigation and focus states are built in, not retrofitted before a compliance deadline.

Frequently asked

Do you work on an existing React codebase or only greenfield builds?
Both. A lot of engagements start with an existing codebase that needs new features, a performance pass, or an architecture cleanup.
Do you use Next.js, or plain React with Vite/CRA?
Next.js is my default for anything that needs routing, SSR or SEO. For a pure client-side app or an existing Vite setup, I work within that instead.
